Statistik Austria published current data regarding international trade

The value of imports is 14% higher than last year (January to August). Exports rose by 15,3% to 69 bill. Euro. The trade balance deficit is therefore about 2,12 billion Euros. For more details please refer to the press release of Statistics Austria.

Pascal Lamy (WTO) thinks about changing the tradition of measuring international trade

WTO Director Lamy points out the distorted perception of data about international trade because of antiquated forms of statistics in this field.

NEW: FIW-Statistics

A new service on the FIW-Website are the FIW-statistics. These current statistics provide an overview for important data and indicators regarding Austrian and International Trade and some monetary figures. The data is presented graphically and can also be downloaded as excel file. The FIW-statistics complement the already very useful "Austrian Foreign Trade" statistics which are also freely available. We will update the statistics on a regular basis.

Statistics Austria has published recent Austrian trade data

Today Statistics Austria has published new data regarding Austrian trade. From January to July 2010 imports increased by 12,5%, exports by 13,6% compared to the first half of 2009. For further details please visit statistik.at.
