FIW-Seminar "International Economics" on November 28th
The next FIW Seminar in "International Economics" on "FDI Promotion Policy and Comparative Advantage" takes place on Thursday, November 28th, 4 pm, at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies.
Statistics Austria: January to August 2013: decrease in imports (-2.6%), increase in exports (+0.6%)
According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to €85.76 bn and total exports amounted to €82.32 bn in the period January to August 2013. Austrian imports decreased by 2.6% while Austrian exports rose by 0.6% compared to the same period in 2012. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €3.44 bn.

Statistics Austria: Jänner bis Juli 2013: January to July 2013: decrease in imports (-2.3%), increase in exports (+1.6%)
According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to €75.73 bn and total exports amounted to €73.38 bn in the period January to July 2013. Austrian imports decreased by 2.3% while Austrian exports rose by 1.6% compared to the same period in 2012. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €2.35 bn
