FIW-Kurzbericht Nr. 4 - Juni 2011 veröffentlicht (Kopie 1)
Das FIW-Projekt veröffentlicht einmal im Quartal einen Kurzbericht über die aktuellen Entwicklungen der internationalen Rahmenbedingungen und des österreichischen Außenhandels. Der vierte FIW-Kurzbericht ist soeben erschienen und steht zum kostenlosen Download zur Verfügung.

WTO Director Lamy suggests a different way of measuring world trade
Director-General Pascal Lamy said that “by focusing on gross values of exports and imports, traditional trade statistics give us a distorted picture of trade imbalances between countries”. “The picture would be different if we took account of how much domestic value-added is embedded in these flows".
Statistik Austria veröffentlicht aktuelle Außenhandelszahlen
Der Gesamtwert der Einfuhren von Waren im Zeitraum Jänner bis März 2011 lag mit 31,04 Mrd. Euro um 22,6% über dem Vorjahreswert, die Ausfuhren von Waren verzeichneten ebenfalls einen Zuwachs von 22,2% auf 29,53 Mrd. Euro. Wertmäßig entspricht dies in beiden Verkehrsrichtungen annähernd dem Niveau der Periode Jänner bis März 2008 (Einfuhren: 29,52 Mrd. Euro, Ausfuhren: 29,72 Mrd. Euro). Das Vorkrisenniveau von 2008 wurde dabei einfuhrseitig um 5,1% überschritten bzw. ausfuhrseitig um 0,6% unterschritten. Im 1. Quartal 2011 wies die Warenverkehrsbilanz ein Passivum von 1,50 Mrd.
