Research Report "Das Wirtschaftspartnerschaftsabkommen mit Japan und seine Bedeutung für die österreichische Wirtschaft" published
The Research Report regarding "Das Wirtschaftspartnerschaftsabkommen mit Japan und seine Bedeutung für die österreichische Wirtschaft" by Harald Oberhofer (WIFO and WU Vienna) and Gerhard Streicher (WIFO) has been published and is available online for free. 25 years after Austria's membership referendum, this study quantifies the trade and welfare effects induced by Austrians EU membership. In a first step and by making use of a gravity model, the study calculates the trade effects of Austria’s EU membership. Accordingly, in the long-run Austria trades about 46% more goods with the other EU member states.

30. AW-Vorlesung "Schlüsseltechnologien der Digitalisierung und Ihre Effekte auf die Außenwirtschaft"
Am 26. September hat die 30. AW-Vorlesung zum Thema "Schlüsseltechnologien der Digitalisierung und Ihre Effekte auf die Außenwirtschaft". Dr. Bernhard Dachs (AIT) präsentierte den 41. FIW-Policy Brief und Dipl.-Ing. Roland Sommer (Plattform Industrie 4.0) ergänzte den interessanten Vortrag mit Anmerkungen aus der wirtschaftspolitischen Praxis.
