The FIW - Research Centre International Economics (https://www.fiw.ac.at/) is a cooperation between the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), the University Vienna, the Johannes Kepler University Linz, the University of Innsbruck, WIFO, wiiw and WSR. Statistics Austria: January to September 2013: decrease in imports (-2.1%), increase in exports (+0.7%)
According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to €96.83 bn and total exports amounted to €93.20 bn in the period January to September 2013. Austrian imports decreased by 2.1% while Austrian exports rose by 0.7% compared to the same period in 2012. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €3.63 bn.
