Statistics Austria:January to March 2013: imports (-5.0%), exports (-0.7%) declined
According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to €31.58 bn and total exports amounted to €30.49 bn in the period January to March 2013. Austrian imports decreased by 5.0% while Austrian exports slightly declined by 0.7% compared to the same period in 2012. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €1.09 bn.

According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to €20.63 bn and total exports amounted to €20.12 bn in the period January to February 2013. Austrian imports decreased by 3.0% while Austrian exports rose by 3.1% compared to the same period in 2012. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €0.51 bn.
