The FIW - Research Centre International Economics (https://www.fiw.ac.at/) is a cooperation between the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), the University Vienna, the Johannes Kepler University Linz, the University of Innsbruck, WIFO, wiiw and WSR. FIW-Note No. 9 - September 2012 published
FIW publishes quarterly FIW Notes. They present an overview of the most important Austrian and international developments regarding International Economics. The 9th issue is now available for free on the FIW-Website.
FIW-Seminar "International Economics" on September 25th
The next FIW-Seminar in "International Economics" on "Global and Regional Shock Transmission? New Evidence from Globally Integrated Input-Output Table" takes place on Tuesday, September 25th, 4 pm at the Vienna Institute for Internationale Economic Studies.

Statistics Austria publishes newest Austrian trade data
According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to €65.26 bn and total exports amounted to €61.54 bn in the period January to June 2012. Austrian imports increased by 1.1% and Austrian exports rose by 1.6% compared to the same period in 2011. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €3.72 bn. Statistics Austria publishes newest Austrian trade data
According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to €54.05 bn and total exports amounted to €51.23 bn in the period January to April 2012. Austrian imports increased by 0.1% and Austrian exports rose by 1.3% compared to the same period in 2011. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €2.82 bn.
