AW-Curriculum: Seminar B4 auf den 1.12.2020 und Seminar W4 auf den 23.09.2020 verschoben
Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren! Aufgrund des aktuellen Gesundheitsrisikos durch das Coronavirus (COVID-19) werden vor dem Sommer keine Seminare im Rahmen des Außenwirtschafts-Curriculum stattfinden. Folgende Veranstaltungen werden daher verschoben: - Seminar „W4“ zum Thema „Schlüsseltechnologien der Digitalisierung und ihre Effekte auf die Außenwirtschaft - unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Dienstleistungsaußenhandels"mit Dr. Bernhard Dachs/AIT (ursprünglicher Termin: 25. März 2020 bzw. 16. September 2020) findet nunmehr am 23. September 2020, 9 bis 12 Uhr in der Verwaltungsakademie des Bundes, Hohenstaufengasse 3, 1010 Wien statt. - Seminar „B4“ zum Thema „Handelsbeschränkungen“ mit Julia Grübler, MSc/wiiw (ursprünglicher Termin 5. Mai 2020) findet nunmehr am 1. Dezember 2020, 9 bis 12 Uhr in der Verwaltungsakademie des Bundes, Hohenstaufengasse 3, 1010 Wien statt. Eine neuerliche Anmeldung für die Seminare ist jeweils erforderlich. Vielen Dank für Ihr Verständnis!
AW-Curriculum: Seminar W4 auf 16.9.2020 verschoben.

Aus gegebenem Anlass (COVID19-Virus) wird das Seminar W4 „Schlüsseltechnologien der Digitalisierung und ihre Effekte auf die Außenwirtschaft - unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Dienstleistungsaußenhandels", welches am 25.03.2020 stattfinden sollte, auf den 16.9. 2020 verschoben. FIW annual report on Austrian foreign trade published
The special importance of Austrian foreign trade relations for Austrian economic development is taken as an opportunity by the "Research Centre International Economics" (FIW) to prepare an annual report on the "State of Austrian Foreign Trade" starting in 2020 with the support of funds from the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs (BMDW). This publication consists of several chapters and will deal with a different main focus each year. In addition to the presentation and analysis of the most recent developments in Austrian foreign trade, special attention will be paid to the forecast of future developments. For this purpose, the annual report contains two chapters on the assessment of the short and medium-term development of Austrian foreign trade relations. Against the background of the new trade barriers introduced since 2018, the current Annual Report focuses on this topic and gives it special consideration in the analyses carried out. [more]

Invitation AW-Curriculum 2020
The two-year foreign trade curriculum is based on the seminar series "Current Economic Issues in the Context of International Economics and European Integration", which has been conducted since 2015 by the Federal Ministry for Digitization and Economic Location (BMDW) together with the Competence Center for Research on International Economics (FIW) and the Federal Academy of Administration (VAB), and extends this series: Eleven seminars will take place within two years. Participants receive a confirmation of participation from the FIW after registering for the AW curriculum (also possible subsequently) and attending five basic seminars and at least three elective seminars. The seminar programme for the year 2020 has just been published. The FIW is looking forward to welcoming you at our events in the coming year.[more]
