The FIW - Research Centre International Economics (https://www.fiw.ac.at/) is a cooperation between the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), the University Vienna, the Johannes Kepler University Linz, the University of Innsbruck, WIFO, wiiw and WSR. FIW is supported by the Austrian Federal Ministries of Education, Research and Science (BMBFW) and of Labour and Economy (BMAW).

Statistics Austria publishes newest Austrian trade data
According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to €32.71 bn and total exports amounted to €30.70 bn in the period January to March 2012. Austrian imports increased by 2.3% and Austrian exports rose by 2.8% compared to the same period in 2011. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €2.01 bn.
