WTO updates and expands coverage of Services Profiles

The WTO has increased the number of economies covered by its Services Profiles from just over 60 to more than 90. Each profile provides detailed statistics on key infrastructure services, such as transportation, telecommunications, finance and insurance.

Roadshow FIW-Data Retrieval Tool

Within the FIW-Project a data portal for international economics was developed which is freely accessable to a defined circle of users. The main part of it is the FIW-Data Retrieval Tool which can be used to access a variety of data from different sources within one User Interface. We are convinced that the FIW-Data Retrieval Tool is of great value for Researchers and Students and want to present it to you. The dates of the presentations are: June 11th (WU), June 14th (Uni), June 18th (WIFO).

FIW-Data Retrieval Tool Update

Version 1.19 of the FIW-Database Tool allows users to define their own groups of countries, products, etc. The scripting language has been extended by the ability to define and use functions. Some example scripts have been made available in the folder "public scripts". Over time we plan to grow a collection of generally useful scripts. "public" is just an ordinary use whose script folder has been made readable by everybody else. [more]
