Statistics Austria publishes newest Austrian trade data
According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to €43.24 bn and total exports amounted to €40,70 bn in the period January to April 2012. Austrian imports increased by 1,5% and Austrian exports rose by 2,4% compared to the same period in 2011. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €2,54 bn. Statistik Austria berichtet, dass im Zeitraum von Jänner bis April 2012 die Importe mit 43,24 Mrd. Euro um 1,5% über dem Vorjahreswert lagen. Die Ausfuhren von Waren verzeichneten ebenfalls einen Zuwachs von 2,4% auf 40,70 Mrd. Euro. Die Warenverkehrsbilanz wies ein Passivum von 2,54 Mrd. Euro auf.
